The Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited is currently holding a Craft Bazaar at the Siddhartha College Ground in Vijayawada from February 17th to February 26th, 2023. The event was inaugurated on February 17th by esteemed guests including Sri S. Dilli Rao Garu I.A.S, the collector and district magistrate of Vijayawada, and Sri Malladi Vishnuvardhan Rao Garu, the vice chairman of the AP State Planning Commission. Other notable figures in attendance were Sri Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao Garu, the Hon’ble MLA of Vijayawada West, Smt. Badiginchal Vijayalakshmi Garu, the Hon’ble Chairperson of APHDCL, Smt. Shrivas Nupur Ajay Kumar Garu I.A.S, the Vijayawada District Joint Collector, and Sri Vishwa.M Garu, the Executive Director of APHDCL.
The Craft Bazaar features works from 110 artisans, showcasing the impressive craftsmanship and cultural diversity of Andhra Pradesh. Visitors can expect to see a variety of handicrafts such as Kondapalli and Etikoppaka Toys, wood carvings, rosewood articles, Udayagiri cutlery wooden items, Kalamkari paintings, Durgi Stone Carving, Kashmiri Shawls & Suits, coconut shell crafts, crochet lace, bobbin lace, pearls, imitation jewelry, leather items, Jute works, Leather Puppets, Madanapalli Terracotta, blue pottery, readymade items, Tanjore paintings, Rudraksha and Puja Items, and Eluru carpets, among many others.
The Craft Bazaar is open every day from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, providing ample opportunity for visitors to experience and appreciate the exceptional talents of the artisans on display.
