One District One Product (ODOP) Pavilion at Global Investers Summit - 2023, Visakhapatnam

Department of Handlooms and Textiles, Government of Andhra Pradesh, recently exhibited handicrafts and handlooms in the One District One Product (ODOP) themed pavilion at Global Investers Summit 2023 in Visakhapatnam. It showcased distinct handcrafted products from various districts of Andhra Pradesh. Design and execution of pavilion was done by Lepakshi Handicrafts and APCO.

ODOP pavilion was inaugurated by Sri. Nitin Gadkari Garu, Hon'ble Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India. Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and other senior officials also visited the pavilion during the event. Smt. K.Sunitha Garu, IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, Industries and Commerce (Handlooms & Textiles) Govt. of AP, guided Honorable CM and the officials around the ODOP pavilion.

Displayed products showcased the diversity and richness of Andhra Pradesh's crafts and culture, including handloom sarees, wooden toys, and horticulture products, each with its unique story and history. ODOP pavilion also featured live demonstrations of handloom weaving, pen kalamkari, block kalamkari print, crochet lace weaving, tholubommalata leather puppet shows, and Bobilli veena playing. Furthermore, various sweets from Andhra Pradesh were made available for attendees to enjoy at the pavilion.
